Can anyone help with how to change a wheel bearing on a erde trailer please?

Most trailers have the same type of wheel bearings.

To change a wheel bearing, try to follow the following in the order given:

1. Jack up the trailer and support it with jack stands.

2. Remove wheel cover if it has one.

3. Remove lug nuts from wheel.

4. Remove wheel and tire Assembly.

5. Using a flat blade screw driver, remove the dust cap on the center of the wheel hub.

6. You will need a pair of pliers to remove the cotter pin that holds the nut retainer in place.

7. Once the cotter pin is removed you should be able to remove the nut retainer if so equiped.

8. Use the correct socket or wrench to remove the bearing jam nut.

9. Remove the bearing washer.

10. Now the wheel assembly should slide off the spindle.

11. If you have not acquired a new bearing yet, you can take your hub and old bearing with you to the parts store to purchase the new bearing.

12. Replace the bearing on the spindle. Also remember to replace the race inside the wheel hub.

13. Put the wheel assembly back together in the reverse order taken apart. First put the hub back on the spindle, Second put the washer on the spindle, Third put the nut on the spindle and tighten until you cannot turn the wheel then back off the nut about 1/4 of a turn, Fourth put the nut retainer back on the nut if equiped, fifth put the cotter pin in the hole and bend back in place over the shaft, sixth put the dust cap back in place and put the wheel and tire back on, seventh take the trailer off jack stands and lower trailer to the ground. Now you are done. Good Luck! Can anyone help with how to change a wheel bearing on a erde trailer please?I'm not sure of the complete procedure, but I just want to make a reminder to use high heat grease. My dad packed the bearings on my truck with some random grease and he ended up having to redo it within a couple of weeks. Can anyone help with how to change a wheel bearing on a erde trailer please? Not familiar with erde but most you pop the grease cap then teke the hold down nut off.
